I began by die cutting a piece of black cardstock from the largest die in the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Cornered Rectangle die set, a piece of polka dot patterned paper from the Simple Stories “Spooky Things” paper pad using the second largest die in that Whimsy Stamps die set, and lastly die cut Spellbinders’ Bellini cardstock from the third largest die in the Whimsy Stamps die set. These three panels will serve as my card front matting layers. I adhered the patterned paper panel to the black cardstock panel and set aside while I worked on the Bellini cardstock panel.
I used the Altenew Dusty Pink ink pad to stamp the Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz “Life of the Party” spider web stamp onto the top center of the Bellini cardstock panel. Next, I smooshed the Dusty Pink ink onto my glass work surface and added water to the ink so I could splatter it across the front of the Bellini panel. Once the splatter was dry, I used a blending brush and lightly edged the Bellini panel with the Dusty Pink ink just to add a little depth and interest and then adhered it to the patterned paper panel and this will complete the base of my card front panel.

I used the dies that came in the Day 2 envelope from the Spellbinders Craftoween kit and die cut four of the skull bases from Spellbinders Onyx Glitter Metallic Treasured Cardstock and cut the front layering piece of the skull one time each from Spellbinders Lavender, Carrot, Rainforest, and Breeze cardstocks. After gluing the skull fronts to their bases, I selected four inks that coordinated well with the skull front cardstocks and those ended up being Medium Lilac, Tangerine Twist, Grass Green, and Powder Blue front Gina K. Designs and I lightly edged the skulls with a blending brush and then smooshed each of the inks onto my glass mat and splattered each skull with its coordinating ink color.
Next, I die cut the crow from Spellbinders Onyx Brushed Metallic and Mirror Metallic Treasured Cardstocks for the body and wing, Spellbinders Rainforest and black cardstock for the hat and bow tie, mirror silver cardstock from my stash for the monocle, and a scrap of dark gray cardstock for the feet. Using the packaging as my guide, I glued all the pieces together to make the crow and added thick foam adhesive squares to the back side and adhered it to the center of the card front. Once the crow was place, I added foam squares to the backs of the skulls and adhered them across the front center of the card front.
To wrap this card up, I stamped the “Stay Spooky” sentiment from the Spellbinders Craftoween kit near the crow’s head using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and glued seven Pinkfresh Glittering Mountains Ombre Gems diagonally across the card front for a bit of sparkle.

That completes today’s card! Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this Day 2 card using dies from the Spellbinders 13 Days of Craftoween boxed kit and found inspiration for some of your own card making projects!
Until next time… happy making!
